The Setting.
A building site at first light. Rebar, mud, a foreman with a level, and one stone going into the corner while everything else waits.
It takes most of the morning to set a single block. Square it, check it, square it again. Every wall that follows will be measured against that one corner, so there is no version of this where you rush it.
By the time the walls go up, nobody looks at it again.
The Stone.
A cornerstone is the least photogenic part of a building and the only part that cannot be wrong. Set it a degree off and the error compounds for four storeys.
The crowd walks past it every day. Few stop to notice what is holding everything up.
Passed Over.
The call goes out to everyone on the road, and most hear it and keep walking. Nothing runs after them. The stone stays where it was set.
The few who stop are deciding to build on something that does not move. That is the whole collection, and it is the same road BLUEPRINT // 003 maps out.
What Gets Worn.
Three pieces for slow work in bad weather.
- The Cornerstone Heavyweight Hoodie — $79. A cornerstone is laid in the cold as often as in the sun.
- The Cornerstone LS Tee — $48. For the season when the mornings go grey and the air turns sharp.
- The Cornerstone SS Tee — $42. The first layer, under everything else.
The tees join the three-pack pricing. The hoodie stands on its own.
Build On It.
Everything else in your week will move. Pick the one thing that does not, and measure from there.
See the full Cornerstone Collection, or read TRANSMISSION // 002 for the mark that runs through every piece.
